Great Dinner! Absolutely love the eclectic but cozy atmosphere, the food has always been top notch. We have eaten there about 6 times now and each time reinforces why we are making this a regular monthly visit. Wine list is great and the ever changing desert menu is too tempting to resist. They always feature bread pudding with bourbon sauce and it’s the best we’ve had. Keep up the good work!

The food is great. Yes the rueben is very good. The cucumber dill pasta salad is very tasty. BrickHouse burger is also fantastic. The atmosphere is nice. Julie was very nice and service overall was great.  Ooooh and the chocolate cake is oooohhhh soooo gooood!

This is the best place in Southern Illinois to eat at HANDS DOWN. My husband and I go here occasionally and in my line of work I have to recommend people places to go to and I always recommend this place. I have never had anything that was not 110% perfect. And of the 100 + people I have recommended this place too over the years I have not had 1 person say anything but praise about it. Thank You Brick House for being here!

My husband & I drove through Anna, Il on the 44th anniversary of the day we fell in love. Paused our road trip to celebrate. Bought books in a thrift store, & asked if proprietor could recommend a local restaurant. “Try the Grill, it’s next door.” What. A. Find. We walked into a high-ceilinged, upscale cafe with 1 red brick wall, 3 regular walls that were painted an excellently matched gray with brick red trim. Real books on shelf. What looked like original art hung on the walls, vaguely bohemian. But you want to know about the food. That’s the real ticket! Grilled shrimp appetizer – spiced zestily, with 3 sauces on plate to dip. Roasted pepper soup – amazing, with a bite! Tomatoes, basil, artichoke hearts & garlic sauteed in olive oil & tossed with linguini, topped with the tenderest grilled chicken breast I have been served outside of my own kitchen. Home-made peach cobbler. We speculated – was a famous chef hiding out? Turns out it’s a family affair. Two sisters. Go there. Now!
